Generic VAs have no childcare sector knowledge. They don't understand Ofsted terminology, DBS processes, LA portals or the regulatory context of a safeguarding culture. TCSA remote staff receive a childcare-specific induction before they touch your systems. We also provide ongoing supervision, quality monitoring and continuity planning — a VA leaves you with none of that infrastructure.
No. TCSA team leads manage day-to-day performance, quality of output and timeliness. You set the direction — what needs to be done and to what standard — and we ensure it happens. You'll have visibility through regular service reviews and optional dashboards, but the supervisory workload stays with us.
That's our problem to solve, not yours. We have continuity planning built in — documented task records and light shadowing reduce disruption during absence. If a staff member exits, TCSA manages the replacement process at no additional recruitment cost to you.
Yes. Our policy is to work in the client's existing platforms wherever possible — whether that's Nursery Works, Famly, Tapestry, iConnect, Xero, Sage, Outlook, or any other system your setting uses. We set up secure, auditable remote access with role-appropriate permissions so your staff member operates within the same environment as your on-site team.
Engagements are contracted on a committed-hours basis rather than casual ad-hoc. This is deliberate — stability of contracted hours enables us to recruit, train and supervise effectively, which is what makes the model work for you. Minimum terms and notice periods are discussed and agreed during scoping.
All TCSA remote staff receive data protection training as part of their induction. Access is configured on a role-appropriate basis — staff only access what they need to perform their specific function. We operate with auditable access controls, and our data processing arrangements are designed to support your obligations under UK GDPR. A data processing agreement can be provided as part of the engagement documentation.
